The Economic Developers Association of Canada has awarded the Hastings County communities of Madoc, Marmora, Stirling and Tweed the prestigious Marketing Canada Award; Andrew Redden made the announcement. The communities are recognized for their branding of the region as Comfort Country and the new marketing strategy Destination Comfort Country: Explore the Four. The award was presented at the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) 40th Annual National Conference in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Elisha Maguire, Sharon Pedersen, Typhany Choinard, Joan Wilkinson, Jim Bakker, Ellen Wilson, Rob Price and Andrew Redden showed off the prestigious marketing award received by Comfort Country during the EDAC’s 40th Annual National Conference in Fredericton, New Brunswick, on September 18.
