BANCROFT, Ontario March 6, 2009. - Peter Nitschke Manager of the Bancroft Minden Forest Company presented MP for Hastings Prince Edward Daryl Kramp with a copy of the Wood Pellet Plant Cost Study for North Eastern Ontario.

Under the Industry Canada Eastern Ontario Development Program, Bancroft Minden Forest Company was granted $2,500 to partner with other forestry companies to complete a wood pellet plant cost study. MP Kramp and Bruce Walker are pictured presenting the EODP Grant to Peter Nischke (right)

Collaborative forestry efforts of this nature may help to meet the global demand for renewable energy and expand Ontario’s export market. MP Kramp commended the initiative of the North Eastern Ontario partners in undertaking the valuable study.
