TWEED, Ontario, March 6, 2009 - Highly successful fund raising for the Erin Palmateer Community Pool in Tweed was augmented today through a $10,000 grant presented by MP for Prince Edward Hastings, Daryl Kramp and members of Community Futures Board of Directors Pictured from left to right are: CF Chair, BruceWalker, Laura Cassidy, Deputy Reeve Gord Benson, Councillor Jim Flieler and MP Daryl Kramp.

“We’ve been highly interested in this project from the beginning”, said MP Kramp. “This will have a significant effect on Central Hastings not just as a community pool but as an asset for the attraction of potential new development.”

The grant will cover some of the costs involved with the design and engineering survey for the pool, change rooms and washrooms.

The funding announced by MP Kramp is part of the $10 million Eastern Ontario Development Program (EODP) introduced by the Government of Canada in 2008.
