Congratulations to Paudash Lake Marina, 2011 winner of the Service Excellence Celebration contest for North Hastings!
The business of Rod and Tyleen Copland received 35 nominations in total, each one from a satisfied and appreciative customer willing to share their unique experience of excellent customer service from Paudash Lake Marina.
One customer wrote, “A couple years ago, I had just purchased a new boat and was in the process of coming from my island cottage to the marina to pick up some guests that had arrived for a visit when my boat stopped. I was towed into the marina by a fellow boater and Rod the mechanic and owner of the marina had a look at my boat and gave me what he figured was wrong. Since the boat was under warranty I had to take the boat back to the marina I purchased it from. Recognizing my dilemma (no boat and guests with suitcases in hand) he proceeded to offer me the use of his deck boat for the next couple of days while my boat was repaired all without a charge to me. This to me was above and beyond what I would expect as a customer who rents a slip and stores his boat with them.”
Another customer writes, “When we are visiting my in-laws, my children enjoy buying candy at the marina. The owners have an entire aisle in the store set up with assorted penny candy, nickel candy, and other cheap treats for kids. The kids love choosing and filling a bag with all their favourite treats. It helps my kids' math skills to try to keep track of adding up the price as they fill their bags. Usually Lorraine or Tylene trust my kids' math when my kids tell them they have $2 of candy in the bag and don't dump it out at the cash register to re-count it themselves.
As the 2011 winner, Paudash Lake Marina was awarded a free half page, full colour advertisement in next year's Destination Guide by Bancroft & District Chamber of Commerce president Janis Whitehead. They will also be given the Service Excellence Celebration 2011 Winner logo to feature in any and all promotional materials.
